Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Reviews Progress of LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Worked by Nindya Karya

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, conducted a working visit to the LRT Jakarta Phase 1B construction project connecting Velodrome and Manggarai on October 14, 2024. The visit, which took place at the Velodrome LRT Station, East Jakarta, was aimed at directly reviewing the progress of the project being worked on by Waskita – Nindya – LRS KSO.
In his remarks, Heru Budi said that the LRT Jakarta Phase 1B project had achieved significant progress of 31.14% per week of October 2024. "The progress achieved is faster than the initial target. This shows the commitment of all LRT staff in carrying out development in a timely manner," said Heru Budi.
This project is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) which aims to improve accessibility and mobility for Jakarta residents. To date, Nindya as one of the contractors has successfully completed the casting of the 1.4-kilometer slabdeck viaduct, as well as the installation of the third rail on the Velodrome line to Rawamangun Station. In addition, the progress of the construction of Rawamangun Station has also recorded positive results, reaching 38.04%.
The completed station structure includes architectural work such as roof coverings, concourse floors, and platform floors. Not only that, the installation of escalators and the construction of station linkways for visitor access at Rawamangun Station are also continuing according to schedule.
Jakarta LRT Phase 1B, which has a 6.4-kilometer track, will connect five new stations, namely Pemuda Rawamangun Station, Pramuka BPKP Station, Pasar Pramuka Station, Matraman Station, and Manggarai Station. This project is expected to be completed in 2026 and will be an important part of efforts to modernize transportation in Jakarta, while improving the quality of life of the community by providing more efficient and environmentally friendly modes of transportation.
