Commemorating Nuzulul Qur'an Nindya Karya, Giving Compensation to Orphans and Distributing Takjil To Road Users

Jakarta - Coinciding with the commemoration of the Nuzulul Qur'an on 17 Ramadan 1443, PT Nindya Karya (Persero) held an activity to provide compensation to orphans and provide takjil and iftar food to road users, Tuesday (19/04). Located at Baitus Syuhada Mosque, Nindya Building Headquarters, the initial stage of compensation was given to as many as 30 orphans who came from the environment around the Nindya Building. Furthermore, Nindya will return the compensation to several orphanage foundations in Jakarta so that the total recipients of the compensation are 350 children.

Along with the provision of compensation, TJSL Nindya Karya through the Nindya Peduli program also held an activity to distribute takjil food for breaking the fast for road users who passed in front of the Nindya Karya Building.

Held in a hybrid (virtual and face-to-face) manner with strict health protocols, the Nuzulul Qur'an activity was attended by the Board of Directors of Nindya Karya, BoD-1 officials consisting of the Senior Vice President of the work unit and the General Manager of the Business Unit as well as the Chairman of the Islamic Da'wah Coordinating Board (BKDI) Nindya Karya. In his remarks, the President Director of Nindya Karya Haedar A. Karim welcomed this activity. "I hope that in the future there will be an increase in the target of receiving compensation and I hope that all Muslim employees of Nindya Karya will be able to set aside their income according to the advice of Islam to pay zakat because there are rights for orphans and poor people in every income we receive."

After providing compensation, the event continued with tausiyah from Ustadz H.Abdul Muta'ali, M.A., M.I.P., Ph.D. and closed with a prayer together. Aside from being a memorial to Nuzulul Qur'an, the compensation activity is also a form of implementing corporate social responsibility in supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.
