Commemorating the 76th Indonesian Independence Day, Nindya Holds Convalescent Plasma Donor and Regular Blood Donor

To coincide with the 76th Indonesian Independence Day, PT Nindya Karya (Persero) held convalescent plasma donors and regular blood donors (16-17/8). With the spirit of independence, the plasma donor participants held an online independence ceremony at the Nindya Building Hall before donating. This is a form of "freedom" for survivors who have been separated from the Covid-19 virus. This activity is also in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).
This activity involving Nindya Personnel, who are Covid survivors, is a form of Nindya's humanity in helping save affected communities and is expected to be able to reduce the death rate due to Covid-19. There were 13 donors who attended and met the requirements for plasma donors, while for regular blood donors there were 39 people.
Convalescent plasma is one of the adjunct therapies to treat Covid-19 patients who have severe and critical symptoms. Currently, a high level of solidarity is needed in the community to donate plasma. For covalent plasma donors, samples will be taken on August 16 to be screened by PMI and donated the next day on August 17, 2021.
The chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross Covid-19 Handling Operations Committee, Husain Abdullah, greatly appreciated this activity, because CSR activities were not only related to material, but blood donations were also very valuable. Currently, the demand for blood at PMI is getting higher so that this blood donation activity is very helpful and makes it easier for people in need. He also hopes that this activity can be followed by other companies.
Meanwhile, President Director Haedar A Karim said that by holding this activity, it could provide assistance or safety for all Indonesian people. He hopes that this activity will continue, because during this pandemic there are still many of our people who need plasma and blood donors.
