Director General of Natural Resources, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, reviews the project undertaken by NINDYA, the construction of the Karalloe Dam, Gowa Regency
Gowa - Director General of Water Resources of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Jarot Widyoko accompanied by Expert Staff of the Minister for Technology, Industry and Environment Endra S. Atmawidjaja, Head of the Pompengan-Jenebarang River Basin Center (BBWS) Adenan Rasyid and Director of Production and HSE NINDYA Firmansyah conducted a review of the project carried out by NINDYA Karalloe Dam located in Garing Village, Datara Village, Kec. Tompobulu and in Taring Village, Tonrorita Village, Biringbulu District, Gowa Regency (28/8).
The review was carried out in preparation for the inauguration of the dam, which had previously been impounded on August 20, 2021. In its implementation, NINDYA was trusted as the contractor for the construction of the Karalloe Dam by the Ministry of PUPR through the Pompengan-Jenebarang River Basin Center (BBWS), Directorate General of Water Resources.
The Karalloe Dam has an inundation area of 248.50 hectares, the water supply of this dam will be used to irrigate an irrigation area of 7,004 hectares, a raw water source of 440 liters/second, a 4.5 MW micro-hydro power plant, and a flood control for Gowa Regency of 49 m3/second. second. Besides functioning as water conservation, the Karalloe Dam also has potential as a tourism destination because around it there are forests so the air is still cool and clean.
Director of Production & HSE NINDYA Firmansyah hopes that the presence of the Karalloe Dam can immediately be felt by the people in South Sulawesi Province, especially the people in Gowa and Jeneponto Regencies.
