Governor of Bali Conducts Ground Breaking of the Tukad Unda Flood Control Project undertaken by NINDYA

Klungkung - Bali Governor I Wayan Koster conducted the Tukad Unda Flood Control Project Ground Breaking activity which was carried out by PT Nindya Karya (Persero) in Tangkas Village, Klungkung, Bali on Monday (30/11).

Apart from the Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster and other regional officials and apparatuses, this activity was also attended by the President Director of NINDYA, Haedar A. Karim along with company officials as well as the Head of the Bali River Basin - Penida Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Maryadi Utama .

The project belonging to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of the Directorate General of Water Resources, Bali - Penida River Basin, is intended to solve several problems in the Tukad Unda River Basin (DAS) that crosses Klungkung and Karangasem Regencies such as high sedimentation due to lava floods, erosion of river cliffs due to floods. impacts on community lands, changes in river flow due to eruptive sediment and the need for river channel maintenance.

The scope of work in this project includes the construction of embankments on the Tukad Yeh Sah and Tukad Unda rivers, Tukad Yeh Sah Dam Checks, Tukad Unda Single Cross Section embankments, Tukad Unda double cross section embankments and river mouth control.

By carrying out this work, it is hoped that the problems of the Tukad Unda watershed can be resolved immediately and have a positive impact in the social and economic fields for the surrounding community.
