Increasing Tourism Potential, President Inaugurates KSPN Wakatobi Karya Nindya

WAKATOBI - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Wakatobi National Strategic Tourism Area (KSPN) Development Project on Tuesday (14/05). The activity was carried out simultaneously with the inauguration of the Ameroro Dam in Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The development of KSPN Wakatobi is the government's effort to increase Indonesia's tourism potential.

"We hope that tourism in Wakatobi Regency will improve and increase," said President Jokowi in his remarks.

Worked on by Nindya Karya since October 2022, the development of KSPN Wakatobi phase 1 was completed in November 2023. The development includes Alun-Alun Merdeka, Sombu Dive, Puncak Toliamba, and Lake Kapota.

In addition to the arrangement of phase 1, Nindya Karya is also trusted to work on the arrangement of phase 2 of the Wakatobi KSPN which includes physical work and construction management of the arrangement of the Waterfront Marina and Keraton Liya areas which are targeted for completion in 2024.

Nindya Karya's competence and reliability in developing tourism areas have been proven by the completion of several projects, including the arrangement of the Malalayang Beach area and Ecovillage Bunaken in North Sulawesi, the revitalization of Keong Mas in the TMII area, and several other tourism sector projects.

This activity was also attended by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, and his entourage. In addition, the inauguration was also attended by the President Director of Nindya Karya Moeharmein Zein Chaniago, Director of Operations 2 Nindya Karya Arif Putranto, and Vice President of Production 1 Building Division Bayu Apriyadi.
