President Jokowi Inaugurates Djuanda Flyover Worked on by Nindya Karya

SIDOARJO - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono inaugurated the Djuanda Flyover (885 m) located in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, Friday (6/9).
President Jokowi in his remarks said that the development and improvement of infrastructure in various regions was carried out so that connectivity would improve, community activities and mobility would also be smoother, so that logistics costs would be cheaper and more efficient, which would ultimately improve the economy in the regions.
"Alhamdulillah this morning, the first to be inaugurated was the Djuanda Flyover (FO) which was built since 2022. Then, there were also 9 replacements of the Callender Hamilton (CH) Bridge spread across 8 regencies/cities in East Java Province, namely in Kediri City, Blitar, Tulungagung Regency, Pacitan, Trenggalek, Bojonegoro, Jember City and Banyuwangi Regency," said President Jokowi.
Meanwhile, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that with increasingly smooth connectivity, it is hoped that it will increase regional economic growth so that it can help accelerate development in the region.
"The construction of bridge infrastructure, flyovers and underpasses will facilitate connectivity and traffic accessibility, in addition to providing an alternative for residents to increase economic productivity," said Basuki
This flyover was built by the East Java-Bali National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN), Directorate General of Highways with the implementing contractor WIKA - NINDYA KSO. The 858-meter long and 9-meter wide flyover was built to reduce traffic congestion around the Aloha roundabout. In addition, the Djuanda Flyover functions as a connecting access to Juanda International Airport.
On that occasion, the President also inaugurated the repair of 11 road sections (66 km) in the North East Java region which was implemented through the Presidential Instruction for Regional Roads (IJD), and the replacement of 9 Callender Hamilton Bridges (CH) in East Java Province.
Also present at the event were Director of Operations 2 Nindya Karya Firmansyah, Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Division 2 Nindya Karya Fatchurrohman, Corporate Secretary Alfriady Zuliansyah, Senior Vice President of QHSE Dedication Firansyah, Vice President of Infrastructure Operations 2 M. Fadhil, Vice President of Infrastructure Market Development 2 Rangga Aditya Pradana and Vice President of Secretariat and Public Relations Sugeng Febry Haryanto.
