Demak (19/10) — PT Nindya Karya (Persero) continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting sustainable infrastructure development and environmental preservation. This commitment is demonstrated through the company's active participation in the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) coastal conservation program for the North Coast of Java (Pantura), centered in Timbulsloko Village, Sayung District, Demak Regency.

The mangrove planting and field inspection were attended by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY); the Head of the North Coast of Java Authority (BOPPJ), Vice Admiral (Ret.) Dr. Didit Herdiawan Ashaf, President Director of PT Nindya Karya (Persero), Firmansyah, Director of Operations 1 of PT Nindya Karya (Persero), Fatchurrohman, and relevant stakeholders.

This symbolic mangrove planting activity, conducted by Coordinating Minister AHY and stakeholders, not only serves as a protective green belt for the coast, but also forms a crucial foundation. This effort aligns with a major program to mitigate tidal flooding and abrasion along the strategic Pantura (North Coast) route, which is directly integrated with the integrated coastal control master plan (Giant Sea Wall).

Through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, PT Nindya Karya (Persero) is making a concrete contribution by providing HexBricks, a modular wave-breaking structure to protect the coast from abrasion. This initiative is part of a long-term effort integrated with the development of a mangrove ecotourism area to mitigate the extreme abrasion that has been threatening the Demak coastal area.

For Nindya Karya, this support aligns with the company's commitment to providing infrastructure that is not only robust but also environmentally friendly and provides tangible benefits to the community. Going forward, Nindya Karya will continue to play an active role in coastal protection and sustainable development programs as part of the SOE's contribution to a more resilient Indonesia.
