Supporting National Food Security, Minister of Public Works Visits Meninting Dam Built by Nindya Karya

Lombok — As part of efforts to support National Food Security, the Minister of Public Works, Ir. Dody Hanggodo, MPE, conducted a working visit to the Meninting Dam Project by PT Nindya Karya, located in Gunungsari District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, on Monday (July 14).

The visit aimed to ensure the readiness of the Meninting Dam in fulfilling the water resource needs of communities in West Lombok and its surrounding areas, as well as reducing flood risk. The project, carried out by Nindya Karya, has been completed 100% and is ready for use.

The scope of work undertaken by Nindya Karya included the Valve House, Spillway, Intake, and Plugging. Beyond meeting the water needs of West Lombok, this project also represents Nindya Karya's support for the President’s Asta Cita agenda, particularly in strengthening national defense systems and promoting self-reliance through food, energy, water, creative economy, green economy, and blue economy sovereignty.

The Meninting Dam is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) initiated by the Ministry of Public Works. It aligns with Nindya Karya’s commitment to completing projects on time, with the right quality, and effectively, so that the benefits can be directly felt by the community.
