Acting President Director of PT Nindya Karya Accompanies Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries in Reviewing the K-SIGN Project in Rote Ndao

Rote Ndao, (21/9) – Firmansyah, Director of Operations I and concurrently Acting President Director of PT Nindya Karya, accompanied the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, during a working visit to the National Salt Industry Center Area (K-SIGN) located in Rote Ndao Regency. This strategic project, initiated by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, marks an important step toward achieving Indonesia’s self-sufficiency in the national salt sector.
During the visit, the Minister directly reviewed the progress of the industrial salt area’s development, which is expected to increase production capacity while also optimizing the quality of domestically produced salt.
The K-SIGN project is anticipated to bring numerous benefits to Indonesia. Its presence is believed to strengthen national self-reliance in meeting salt needs without relying on imports. In addition, the project is opening new job opportunities for the local community while driving economic growth in Rote Ndao Regency and its surrounding areas. Beyond its economic contributions, this salt industrial area is also expected to improve the quality of Indonesian salt, enabling it to compete in the global market.
As the construction executor, PT Nindya Karya reaffirms its commitment to supporting government programs, particularly in realizing food and industrial self-sufficiency in Indonesia.
Also accompanying the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries were Director General of Marine Management A. Koswara, Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena, Secretary of the Directorate General of Marine Management Miftahul Huda, Director of Marine Resources Frista Yorhanita, Head of the Center for Testing and Application of Marine and Fisheries Products Rahmadi Sunoko, Regent of Rote Ndao Paulus Henuk, Independent Commissioner of PT Garam Masril Koto, Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Division I PT Nindya Karya Bambang Asmoro, Vice President of Production II Edden Umaga Dinata, and Brama Lesmono as Project Manager for the Integrated Design and Build Development of the National Salt Industry Center (K-SIGN) in Rote Ndao Regency.
