Manado-Bitung Toll Road, NINDYA Offerings to Improve the Economy of North Sulawesi

MANADO - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) collaborated with PT Jasa Marga (Persero) to successfully inaugurate the Manado - Bitung Toll Road through a Video Conference. Where, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo (Jokowi) attended the event at the Presidential Palace with the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir while PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono attended the event directly from the Manado - Bitung Toll Gate (29/9).
In its implementation, the Manado - Bitung Toll Road Project is a collaboration in every work package. Where, NINDYA, which carried out Joint Operations (KSO) with Bumi Karsa, was entrusted with working on Package 5, namely the work of the SBY - Simpang Tondano National Road Access in Sukur Village, Airmadidi District, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province.
The project, which has been completed by NINDYA since April 15, 2020, has a length of 3,139 m with work time of 1,202 calendar days and maintenance time of 730 calendar days.
In his inauguration speech, Jokowi stated that the Manado - Bitung Toll road could participate in stimulating the economy in North Sulawesi, both in the agricultural, plantation and fishery industry sectors. This toll road is also expected to cut logistics costs so that businesses become more efficient and product competitiveness increases in the area.
