Nindya Karya Strengthens Bali's Connectivity through the Singaraja–Mengwitani Road Development

The Singaraja–Mengwitani City Boundary Geometric Improvement Road (SC 9 & 10) Package 2 project officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, January 7, 2026. This project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Works and the Bali Provincial Government, with PT Nindya Karya entrusted with the construction services.
This development has the following benefits:
1️⃣ Reduces travel time from 21.22 minutes to 8.61 minutes
2️⃣ Reduces the number of bends from 58 to 21
3️⃣ Reduces the road gradient from a maximum of 27% to a maximum of 10%
4️⃣ Reduces the Accident Equivalence Rate from Very Dangerous to Safe
5️⃣ Reduces vehicle carbon emissions by 10%
📏 Total length of work: 1,100 kilometers
🗓️ Implementation period: 750 calendar days
🛣️ Road work: Construction of 0.88 kilometers of road
🌉 Bridge work: Construction of two bridges with a total length of 220 meters

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by several stakeholders, including Bali Governor I Wayan Koster, Director of Road Development at the Ministry of Public Works Asep Syarip Hidayat, and members of PT Nindya Karya's management team, including M. Fadil, Vice President of Operations 2 of Infrastructure Division 2; Rangga Aditya Pradana, Vice President of Market Development of Infrastructure Division 2; and Rivando Napitupulu, Project Manager.
