Nindya Karya Together with SOE Disaster Task Force Handover Aid for Gembrong Market Fire Victims

Jakarta - PT Nindya Karya (Persero) together with the East Jakarta BUMN Disaster Task Force handed over various aids to victims of the Pasar Gembrong fire disaster at the Cipinang Village Office, Pasar Utara Jl. Swadaya No.2, RT.6/RW.14, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Tuesday (26/04).
The handover was handed over directly by the Vice President of the Secretariat and Public Relations of PT Nindya Karya (Persero), M. Maududy Ary to the Head of Cipinang Besar Utara Village, Evi Erawati.
The assistance distributed by the Nindya Task Force Team together with the East Jakarta SOE Disaster Task Force included basic food assistance in the form of rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, sardines, clothing and other necessities to meet the basic needs of the victims affected by the disaster.
The cause of the fire, which is suspected to have originated from an electrical short circuit in one of the residents' houses, caused sparks and the fire quickly spread to other residents' houses. As a result, there were 400 buildings (houses and shops) with an area that burned up to 1,200 square meters, in which 450 families or around 1000 people in 5 RTs became victims in this incident.
The distribution of this aid is a manifestation of the company's concern that it is always alert and ready to respond to a number of disasters in order to help and ease the burden on the community and the environment affected by the disaster.
