President Jokowi Again Conducts Groundbreaking on One of Nindya Karya's IKN Projects

President Jokowi laid the first stone (groundbreaking) for the construction of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) Memorial Park in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan, Wednesday (17/1/2024).

The project carried out by Nindya Karya is targeted for completion in December 2024 with a monumental concept depicting the "breaking of the egg" of the long struggle that resulted in the independence of the Indonesian nation. The figures of Ir. Soekarno and Mohammad Hatta are manifested in statues with egg shells and 18-meter-high garuda birds.

"This great country of Indonesia is independent because of the services of the nation's heroes and fighters. This Memorial Park will later be our tribute to the founding heroes of the nation who have worked hard to free the nation, state, and people of Indonesia," said President Jokowi.

With an area of ​​2,034.00 m2, this Memorial Park consists of an altar area of ​​1,690 m2 and a stair access area of ​​344 m2 and is equipped with road and landscape infrastructure. This Memorial Park complements the various facilities that have been built in the IKN, including to prepare for the implementation of the independence commemoration ceremony in August 2024.

Also present at this event were Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, President Director of Nindya Karya Moeharmein Zein C, Director of Production & HSE Firmansyah and other officials.

Through this project, Nindya Karya is committed to helping preserve Indonesian history with various monumental project developments.
