Pushing the Economy in West Kalimantan, Nindya Starts Building the Sambas Bridge

SAMBAS – PT Nindya Karya (Persero) is working on the construction of the Sambas Besar River Bridge located in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The bridge is projected to encourage the economy of the community in several existing sub-districts such as Tebas, Takarang, Jawai, South Javai to Kepaloh.
The arch bridge type bridge will connect Tekarang District to Tebas District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province. with a total bridge length of 922.60 meters and a width of 11 meters.
In addition, the construction of the Sambas Bridge can support the connectivity of the Paloh-Aruk National Strategic Activity Center (PKSN) as well as the accessibility of national border areas, especially for State Border Posts (PLBN) in West Kalimantan such as PLBN Entikong, PLBN Aruk and PLBN Betiong.
Project Manager for the Great Sambas Bridge Project Development, Ega Yogaswara, said that the existence of the Sambas Bridge at that location could save people traveling time, which was originally 1-2 hours by ferry to only 1 minute, thereby reducing the cost of crossing transportation.
With the construction of the Sambas Besar River Bridge, Nindya Karya has contributed to increasing the growth of economic activity around the Sambas Besar River bridge and road.
