Supporting Sustainable Water Management, Nindya Karya Attends World Water Forum 2024

BALI - Nindya Karya also attended the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) held in Bali on May 18-25, 2024. This event was attended by various delegates from various countries, international organizations, and other stakeholders working in the water sector.

In his remarks, President Joko Widodo conveyed his commitment to water management for life.

"It is an honor for Indonesia to be the host to strengthen our shared commitment and formulate real actions for inclusive and sustainable water management." President Jokowi said at the Opening Ceremony held at the Bali International Convention Center, Monday (20/5).

He hopes that in this international water forum, the world can join hands continuously to strengthen the commitment to collaboration in overcoming global challenges related to water.

"There are 3 basic principles in water management for prosperity. First, avoiding competition, second, prioritizing equality and inclusive cooperation, and third, supporting peace and shared prosperity. All three can be realized through collaboration,” the President continued.

Nindya Karya, as one of the largest construction companies in Indonesia, is committed to contributing to sustainable water management efforts. Nindya has been involved in various water infrastructure development projects, such as dams, irrigation, and drinking water systems.

Nindya Karya’s participation in the World Water Forum 2024 is a manifestation of the company’s commitment to supporting the sustainable development agenda. Together with other BUMN Karya, on this occasion Nindya Karya also showcased various of its best works in building water infrastructure in Indonesia that have contributed to realizing access to clean water, increasing food security, spurring economic growth, and helping to develop the tourism sector in Indonesia.
