The Nindya Karlloe Dam project is ready to meet irrigation needs and face La Nina

Gowa - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono and his entourage visited the Nindya Karalloe Dam Project (22/11). This visit was carried out in preparation for the inauguration by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

During his visit, Basuki Hadimulyono conveyed "the benefits of this karalloe dam are to irrigate an irrigation area of ​​7000ha with 250% planting intensity, raw water supply is 420L/second for Jeneponto Regency and 20L/second for Gowa Regency, 49.12% flood reduction, and PLTA 4 ,5 MV”

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Nindya Karya (Persero) Haedar A Karim hopes that the construction of the Karalloe Dam can further improve the living standards of the people of Jeneponto Regency and Gowa Regency and also so that the community is protected from flooding and the La Nina phenomenon.

During his visit, Minister Basuki took the time to visit several areas around the dam, in addition to the main dam. These include viewing posts, outlets, spillways and reforestation areas.

On the sidelines of his visit, the Minister of PUPR also signed 7 inscriptions marking the completion of infrastructure development in South Sulawesi, one of which was the inscription from the Nindya Karlloe Dam Project.

The construction of the Karalloe Dam is also expected to improve Nindya's performance which in turn can create added value for the Company.
